The Didcot and Wallingford Neighbourhood Team have been made aware by members of the public, and have seen footage, of some drivers using the new roundabout at The Sands in Benson to show off some of their drifting skills. Though debatably very impressive, it is also very unsafe. Especially with the regular foot traffic, children, dogs etc. that this area sees. If you have seen this behaviour happening, please report this to us with as much information as you can, preferably with evidence if possible. Any numberplates shared with the Police will be used to contact the drivers and are eligible for a Section 59 Warning Notice under the Police Reform Act 2002. If behaviour then continues, or if the driver/vehicle already has a warning, the vehicle being used can then be seized by the Police. Please do both yourself and us a favour and refrain from driving anti-socially. If you have the desire to do donuts again, we suggest booking a registered and legal drifting experience to fill that void. 🚙 💨
